About

Bio

Alexandra Rose Cassidy was born and raised in Cleveland, OH where she studied various styles of dance at Cleveland School of the Arts and The Beck Center for the Arts from 2006 to 2016. She went on to study dance at The Ohio State University where she recently graduated and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with Distinction. While at Ohio State she took part in many faculty and student concerts over the four years where she was fortunate to study under Crystal Michelle Perkins, Eddie Taketa, Daniel Roberts, and guest lecturer Momar Ndiaye. Some performances include The Difficulties of Flying (2017) by Crystal Michelle Perkins, A World of Our Own (2018) by student choreographer Anthony Milan, Ubuntu (2019) by Momar Ndiaye, and Influence of Dance (2020) by Alexandra Cassidy. Alexandra focused on choreography and education in the department which allowed her to choreograph and present numerous works in student concerts. Cassidy has also performed and choreographed internationally through the Ohio State Brazil Dance Tour where she performed in numorous cities. A work that she collaborated on with another student was taken on the Brazil Tour and performed in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Currently she is teaching at Dance Extension in Dublin, OH, and will soon be returning to her hometown to teach at The Beck Center for the Arts. She hopes to continue teaching and performing.
