  Choreography

Influence of dance 2020

This is my senior thesis project that I have choreographed to be presented in the OSU Senior Dance Concert 2020. I worked on this project for over 7 months and I focused on exploring Latin culture identity in contemporary dance by using Latin dance concepts to inform my contemporary movement. I worked with 5 young children, 7 OSU dancers, and two live musicians who all helped me pull off a wonderful production. I am very proud of this work and all of the people who were apart of it. Thank you so much to everyone involved!

Positions 2019

This is my second piece that I have choreogaphed as a student in OSU's Dance Department. My piece was showcased on the Winter Concert in 2019. This piece is about different pathways and positons one might go through in life and the many ways to navigate them. Working with a larger cast was amazing and I am so very proud of these dancers!

Music & Composition Final 2018

This project was my final for my Music & Composition course at OSU. I used similar material that I was working with for another piece to reconstruct and play with different placements and timing of things. I used three dancers and gave them each three different movement phrases for them to know and then played with different orders. This was a fun project and I appreciate my dancers hard work and commitment.

Opaque 2018

This is a work in-progress video of a piece that I choreographed at my old dance studio, The Beck Center for the Arts. This piece was more about exploring what it was like to combine contemporary movers with no shoes on and ballet dancers with pointe shoes on. This was a fun investigative process that I am proud of. The final product was performed at their end of the year showcase in 2018.

Push Through 2018

This is my first piece that I have ever choreographed and it is being perform in OSU's Spring Dance Concert 2018. This process was challenging, but I learned so much from it and hope to make many more pieces in the future. A special thanks to my amazing cast of beautiful dancers, you were great!

Composition 2 Final

This is a solo that I choreographed on my fellow peer as my final project for my Composition 2 course. I chose to choreograph not on myself because I wanted to see what it would be like to implement my movement styles and tendencies on another person. This process was very interesting because I found out similarities between each of our movement choices and some differences as well. Thank you for working with me Anna!

Composition 1 Final

This is a video of what I believe is my final project for my Composition 1 course. I am a little unsure because it was so long ago but this process was one of the first times I was confident in my work and proud of it. I enjoyed working with a specific group of people and exploring the many possibilities there are in choreography.

Academic Films

Documentary

The name of my documentary is, "Exhale". It is based on a personal experience of mine that I wanted to share with people. Abuse is a serious matter whether it is verbal or physical. The person next to you could have been abused and you'd never know. This video is to bring awareness to abuse and for everyone to be aware of what's happening around you. I'd like to give a big thanks to my friend Emma Steele who helped me gather footage!

Dance Film

The name of my dance film is, "Moonlight Dancers". I went into this project not having any idea as to what I wanted my film to be so I took lots of videos so I could have a lot to chose from to decide how I wanted this film to play out. Thank you to the dancers who participated in this film!!

Moving Space

This is our final project for my Creative Tech class. My partner and I have chosen to do under the risers in the Barnett Theatre. This was so fun to do and I hope to make more films.
